Privacy Policy
Effective January 1, 2026
Rae Business Management ("Rae," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the website at raebusinessmanagement.com (the "Site") and through our consulting engagements, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few limited ways:
- Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, download a free resource, subscribe to email updates, or book a call, we collect the details you share — typically your name, email, business name, and a short message.
- Client engagement information. If you become a client, we collect information necessary to deliver the services (business details, operations context, access to tools you authorize).
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we collect standard log data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referrer) and use analytics cookies to understand how the Site is used.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries and follow up on questions.
- To deliver the services you've engaged us for.
- To send email updates you've opted in to receive.
- To improve the Site, our content, and our services.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing.
3. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of reputable third-party services to run our business. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Website hosting and analytics providers.
- Email service providers (for newsletters and transactional email).
- Payment processors (for invoiced clients).
- Tools used to deliver engagements (such as scheduling, file sharing, and project management).
These providers receive only the information they need to perform their function on our behalf.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the Site working and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the Site functions.
5. Data Retention
We keep contact-form and inquiry data for as long as is reasonably useful to respond and follow up (typically 24 months from your last interaction). Client engagement records are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterward as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Email newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the footer of any email.
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA (California) or GDPR (EU/UK). We honor valid requests to the extent required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we treat your information with the care we'd want for our own.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for business owners and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
